Lulawy provides work-readiness training to equip unemployed youth with the skills needed for the job market. Continuous support is provided through monthly check-ins and dedicated mentorship, ensuring the placed candidates are well-prepared for long-term success.
This initiative boosts businesses' capacity while giving youth the skills and experience required for permanent employment. By doing so, the helps break the cycle of unemployment in disadvantaged communities, fostering sustainable growth.
Utilising a variety of public funding partners, Lulaway connects South African youth, particularly matriculants and TVET graduates, with companies across various sectors. In our experience, youths that were prepared for the realities of the working world and spent 12 months exposed to the work environment, found permanent employment within their designated hosts or other similar companies.
The project features customized reporting through a live dashboard that tracks every intern’s progress, enabling transparent communication between all stakeholders. This includes real-time metrics on skills acquisition, SME growth, and permanent placements. The live reporting system allows employers and sponsors to monitor the overall impact of the program, ensuring accountability and offering a full assessment of the project's outcomes.
