"I am an Installation Electrician I joined Lulaway during the the hard lockdown of 2020, after losing my job to covid-19 I was hopeless as most companies were cutting people out or reducing hours so chances of getting a new job were very slim. I joined Lulaway as a data capture learner and later they transferred me to Landau Attorneys to become a call center agent. As I was already qualified on the engineering field Lulaway arranged for me to be in a manufacturing company and I joined Trentyre as an Admin Clerk were I was later on appointed as an operator. Thank you Lulaway for giving this opportunity when there was no hope, I am writing this today joining Eskom Rotek Industries as an Electrician Artisan."
We managed the recruitment process and identified suitable host organizations for the Youth Employment Service (YES) projects, matching youth participants with appropriate placements to maximize their skills and career development. Our project responsibilities included the recruitment, comprehensive administration and payroll management of the YES program, ensuring accurate and timely stipend payments, monitoring timesheets, and overseeing related tax obligations, such as VAT and PAYE. We also maintained regular reporting to track participant progress and provide transparency and accountability in meeting all project deliverables. This approach supported both youth employment goals, sponsoring businesses' B-BBEE imperatives and the seamless execution of the YES initiative.
