These centers provide free assistance in compiling CVs and connecting job seekers to opportunities, reducing barriers like transportation costs and lack of access to technology.

For Valerie, being referred to a Lulaway job center marked the beginning of a transformative journey. For the first time, she felt hopeful about her future. Today, Valerie works at Itok Financial Services, where she excels in administrative tasks, supports scheduling, and handles other responsibilities with confidence and pride.

The Ekurhuleni Project

Lulaway’s impact extends beyond individuals like Valerie. Through collaborations with municipalities such as Ekurhuleni, it has scaled its efforts to benefit thousands of young people. With a R19 million investment from the Ekurhuleni municipality, Lulaway aims to place over 3,000 young people in jobs over three years. This initiative is a prime example of how strategic partnerships can empower communities by creating sustainable employment opportunities.
