Tailored Corporate Social Investment Solutions
Lulaway’s CSI (Corporate Social Investment) Initiatives offer corporates customized programmes aligned with their impact objectives. These focus areas include youth employment, internship placements, entrepreneurship, and skills development, ensuring compliance with South Africa’s CSI requirements for community investment.
The Exxaro project is a prime example of Lulaway’s tailored approach, targeting youth in communities around Exxaro’s mining operations. Through this initiative, young individuals were trained and placed as independent scooter drivers for leading e-delivery platforms, providing valuable skills and financial independence in rural mining areas with limited job opportunities.
Lulaway manages every aspect of the initiative, from recruitment and training to onboarding and mentorship. Regular monitoring and evaluation ensure participants' progress, while corporate partners receive detailed reports on the outcomes.
One of the most successful initiatives is the partnership with Exxaro, where over 400 youth were trained as scooter drivers, equipping them with essential employability skills and creating sustainable income opportunities.
Lulaway’s Bespoke CSI Initiatives are powered by a digital system that administers customised monthly surveys to all project participants. The collected data is then compiled into detailed impact assessment reports, highlighting participant experiences, challenges, and achievements. Furthermore, an online project dashboard allows corporate sponsors to access participant information in real time, providing transparency and the ability to track the project’s ongoing progress, ensuring accountability and alignment with corporate CSI goals.
